Isle Of Man New Immigration SystemThe immigration office introduced on December 1, 2009 the new first step of the points based system for immigration. The system applies to foreign nationals from outside the European Economic Area seeking employment in the Isle of Man. The new system is based on the U.K. system. Other phases of the new point system will replace the existing employment controls. Isle Of Man Malta Double Tax TreatyThe Isle Of Man and Malta signed on October 23, 2009 a new double taxation agreement.The DTA is the 18th agreement signed by the Isle Of Man in line with the OECD international tax standards on trasparency and effective exchange of information.
